PRP / PRF Therapy

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF)therapy is an FDA-approved treatment that uses your own plasma to help your body produce collagen and elastin, and stimulate hair growth.

Enriched plasma is full of growth factors, platelets, and stem cells to naturally boost your skin’s health. During each session, your blood is drawn and then spun in a centrifuge machine to extract the plasma.

The plasma can be injected under the eyes, and it can be applied topically all over your skin while using a microneedling pen to help reduce wrinkles, dark circles, pigmentation issues, sun damage, pore size reduction, and scars from acne or surgery.

PRP/PRF can be injected under the eyes to help with dark circles., hallows, and puffiness. It can also be injected into scars to help with healing.

Microneedling with PRP or PRF therapy encourages the body to produce collagen and elastin in the treated areas, giving you tighter, smoother skin and reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and scars.

PRP/PRF therapy for hair loss uses a patient’s plasma which is injected into the scalp to trigger natural hair growth and maintain it by increasing blood supply to the hair follicle and increasing the thickness of the hair shaft.

PRP/PRF therapy uses a concentration of a patient’s own platelets to accelerate the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles, and joints.

The platelets in your blood contain healing growth factors and injecting the PRP growth factors into an injured area helps tissues repair themselves without the risk of side effects from medications.

Each treatment includes an exam with a board certified physician to determine eligibility.

Typical Treatment Areas:

  • Knee Injuries
  • Shoulder Damage
  • Achilles Tendon
  • Arthritis/Osteoarthritis
  • Hip Pain & Labral Tears
  • Chronic Neck & Back Pain
  • Lumbar & cervical pain
  • Disc Injuries & Degeneration
  • Elbow, Wrist, or Hand Pain
  • Ankle & Foot Pain
  • Plantar Fasciitis

Downtime is minimal and most patients have significant reductions in pain and stiffness, along with improved joint mobility and stability.

The most significant difference between cortisone and PRP/PRF injections is that cortisone masks pain and does not repair the injured joint/tendon.

A typical treatment plan is 2-3 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
